MY BOOK

Most if not every one of us aspires to get to a great height in life. We reach out for glory believing it will be ours someday. For this reason, we keep toiling doing what is expected of us and sometimes what is not even expected of us. The path to achieving this feat differs from person to person.

Some have it easy whereby it is given to them on a platter of gold while others have to hustle and hustle hard for it. Regardless, what is worthy of note is that glory comes with a story. Every one of us aiming for glory must be willing to go through the 'story' process. The story is our Life Book - our 'how story'.

You are the writer of your life's book. You have the right to write what you want but one thing is sure, you will not be the reader. And in this story, you cannot spin yarns because your sins will search you out. What will people see when they read your book? You may claim not to care about that but one day, you will. Run your race so that posterity will bear witness to a great read.

WORK IN PROGRESS

Everyone of us is part of God's big project. He is a Master Planner and Master builder, fashioning something huge and awesome out of a seemingly mediocre substance. He created us to be  awesome, but in order for us to perfectly fit that Grand Scheme, He needs to keep working on us.

 

If you are familiar with designers (not just clothes), scientists, inventors, etc., you will discover that in order to get the best outcome from their projects, they keep tuning and fine-tuning their models. They subject them to lots of tests in order to achieve perfection. They only become satisfied when they are convinced that their model is at its optimum. 

 

In the same way, if not better, God is working in each and every one of us, tuning and fine-tuning us and exposing us to lots of tests in order to bring out the best in us. He is preparing us for something great ahead thay must be the exact fit for us. Do not give up on yourself; the Master / Potter knows how to make you perfect. Trust Him. Make this confession: I am a Work in Progress! The Master is not done with me. Hallelujah...

THE DAY OF THE LORD

The Psalmist in Ps. 118 exclaimed that today is the day the Lord has made. He did not stop there; he made known his commitment to be happy that day. Beloved are expected to treat every day as a "good" day. In Genesis 1, it is recorded that God created the day, and the end of that is that it is good. We are to take every day in that spirit. 

As children of God, every day is an opportunity to extol the Lord for His wonderful works. He is a wonderful creator. Everyday is like a present, and we must anticipate gifts from our loving Father. Further on, the Psalmist mentioned that God daily loads us with benefits. Do you know what today has in store for you? No. Neither do I, but I trust my Father for good things.

See every day as a great day. Wake up every day with hope and anticipation. The Bible is filled with wonderful things happening every day. Today can be the day you have been waiting for all your life. You can't go to meet a loved one, an expected visitor with a frown. You go with joy and love. Go and meet today and every day of your life with joy, love, hope, and expectation. After all, it is the day the Lord has made!
