D. L. Moody, of blessed memory, left us with this great quote: He who kneels the most, stands the best.' What this great man left us with is the knowledge of the force and power of prayer. Any man who is ready to kneel before God will be empowered to stand before anything.
These days, prayer is underrated. People mock anyone who dares say they want to hand over anything to God. The thing is, prayer can never be underrated; our very existence depends on it. If we refuse to pray, we are already accepting defeat even before the game starts.
Prayer is a form of surrender. A form of total dependence on our Creator. Prayer is not a refusal to act or an attempt to shift responsibilities. It is rather a means of receiving the ammunition needed to combat the challenges of life. No matter the situation, if you can kneel before God, you can stand before it... in victory.
