One of the most painful life's expectations
of man is PATIENCE. From the moment we were born to the day we draw our last breath;
we will have to wait for something. What we wait for differs just as humans
varies. Some will wait to get married. Some will wait to get good jobs. Some
will wait to be healed. Some will wait to have children. Some will have to wait to be
successful in life.
Whether we like it or not, we all have been programmed
to wait. The problems arise at the waiting stops. Many do not like the idea of
waiting and in order to hurry the process, they encounter greater difficulties.
You are not to be a party to that. Waiting is not a waste. It is one of the
signs of maturity.
But do not get the waiting message wrong. Do not
wait complacently or with grumbling. Do not wait with vexation. Wait with a
purpose. Wait with faith. Wait, and while waiting, get busy. While waiting for
something, get busy doing something that will add value to your life. Don't
just wait because you have been told to wait. Wait with a plan. Wait well. Wait
and be a source of encouragement to others.
I pray to God for the grace to wait.
