There are times in our lives when the easiest thing to do is retaliate; when the best thing to do in situations where someone deliberately and unnecessarily hurts you is to take revenge. But in times like that, God wants us to take a step back and calmly hand over the case to Him. It is a very hard decision and difficult to make, but it is a must. It might take a strong will, but please do it.
Handing evil people who are bent on being our enemies over to God is not something we want to do, but it is something God wants us to do. Whose word will you obey? Would you listen to the devil, who wants you to pay evil with evil, or would you rather listen to God, who wants you to let Him have His way? I bet the best decision is to allow God. Allow God to do what only He can do best.
Allowing God may be hard for you, but believe me, it will be harder for your enemies! Have you ever witnessed God dealing with a wicked man or woman? Please do not be on that side, because it is always awful. Allowing God to deal with your enemies will give you peace borne out of obedience, and then you will get to sit back and watch the God of vengeance in action. When they rise up against you, do not be like them; hand them over to God!
