A. W. Tozer writes in his all-time classic, The Pursuit of God, that "God never hurries. There are no deadlines against which He must work." If you are like me, you would have eyeballed this saying of this God's generals. This saying goes against our grain as humans; nobody likes to wait. We all want to get what we want here and now!
The thing is, as the supplier of our needs, God first takes stock of our demands and then determines if they are worthy of immediate supply or not. If they are not, He simply sets them aside, pending. While this is going on, we are left wondering what is happening. What is delaying our supply? We go to God with vexation in our hearts.
Just know that no amount of vexation can hurry God. He works with His timing, which ours has nothing on. Waiting is a learned behaviour; learn how to wait for God's time. If it is time, nothing can stop it, but if it is not, nothing can force it. God cannot and will not be hurried. Learn to wait, and wait well!
