This is a very tough one. The "Rivers of Babylon" were a difficult place in the lives of the Israelites when in captivity. Even though that was not where they wanted to be at that particular time in their lives, they had to endure the pain by remaining there. They were mocked and reproached, but they had no choice but to stay and helplessly watch.

BY THE RIVERS OF BABYLON
Sometimes in life, you and I find ourselves in places where we do not want to be. We fall into some unpalatable circumstances, and the best course of action is to stay put and think. Trying to leave that situation will only encourage more pain. There will be lots of pressure and problems, but if God wants us to stay there, then we better do.
The "river of babylon" is there for a reason, and the main reason is for you to sit and reflect on what brought you into that problem and how to avoid it in the future. Not all problems are designed to destroy us; most will teach us valuable lessons. When the lessons have been learned, the captivity will be turned off. Are you learning by your river of babylon?
