MEN OF INFLUENCE 6

Nehemiah... this is another silent giant in the Bible. Nehemiah was able to write his name in gold in the Bible thanks to his selflessness towards God and man. He was although a slave a man of privilege in the king's palace. Regardless of his elevated status, he never forgot his heritage. He knew where he was from and where he was going.

Can the same be said of you? Could it be said that regardless of your high rank in the world, you remain humbled enough to acknowledge Christ in your life? Anyways, Nehemiah was willing to "come down" from his lofty position to go restore what has been broken. He refused to be unconcerned about the situation of others. Something greatly lacking in the world today.

Can the same be said of you? Could it be said that you reached down to restore some broken lives when you don't even have any reason to do so? Anyways, Nehemiah organised the rebuilding of the broken down walls of Jerusalem (a feat), a sign of hope. He did this when he might have chosen not to. He became a man of influence thanks to selflessness. Are you selfless?
