Having a sweet tooth is considered by many to be an unavoidable problem. While they know that consuming some sweet delicacies is not beneficial in the long run, they couldn't seem to help themselves from relishing. While some make attempt at fasting to curb their desire, they eventually succumb... At the end, the feeling is one of guilt and despondency.
Just as the sweet addicts suffer from the grip of their sweets, in life too, some believers in Christ, struggle with the challenges of the "sweetness of sin." Unlike those who are unconcerned about their spiritual health, these ones know the repercussions of their actions; they just seem to be helpless under the influence of such shortcomings. And their question is, "Is there a way out?"
Yes, be rest assured that, more than you desire, the Holy Spirit is willing to assist you. Do not despair. Do not lose hope. Stop thinking God has given up on you because He has not. What needs to be done is for you to hold steadfastly onto Jesus. The end of sin is calamitous; do not let it ruin you! Keep knocking on the door of the Great Deliverer. He will open shortly, and you can run to safety.
Read Romans 6 for help.
Happy Sunday, beloved!
