God created our ears so we could hear. Man is not the only creature that possesses these sensory capabilities; various animals in their diversity are also equipped with this gift. When it comes to hearing, I believe you know that it is not limited to your physical ears alone. Man also has the ability to hear innately. Remember when Ezekiel and Paul both said they heard a voice that no one else heard?
Hearing is important because what you hear and listen to can determine the outcome of your life. Many have heard and listen to voices telling them to do unbelievable evil things. On the flip side, some have listened to some things that have greatly blessed their lives. Your ears (spiritual and physical) must be given to God if you want to fulfill your purpose in life.
In Exodus 21, slaves give their ears to their masters as a sign of ownership. All believers are expected to give their ears to their Maker by default. If you don't listen to God, you are definitely listening to the devil. The most significant voice in our lives is God's. Anything outside of that is NOISE. Give your ears to God, let Him bear it with all his might, and be willing to serve Him forever.
