There are times in our walk with God when we feel trapped, kind of boxed in. This kind of trap, for all we know, is not an attack from the devil. We know that this is the Lord’s doing. We cannot move to the front, nor can we move to the back. We can neither turn left nor right. We can't look up or down. Times like these are frustrating, but we often find out that there is nothing we can do but wait on the Lord.
Bob Sorge told us that when God wanted his undivided attention, He took his voice. At first, Bob thought he was under attack, but God revealed to him that He needed him for a special assignment, and that was the best way to get it. When God wanted Jacob to stop running, He touched his thigh. Without the ability to project outward, Bob was forced to project inward, where he found God waiting. He wrote that it was during that period that he got to know God after years of serving Him.
Many of his most impactful books were written during that period. Although it is hard, Bob said he wouldn't have it any other way. He might have felt hedged in, but it is for his good. You may be in the same situation as Bob, where you feel things are not working the way you want. Or is it that no matter how hard you try, things just get worse? Why don't you yield to God? Just tell Him, I am here for You Father."
