There has been a running debate over the glass for a while now. While some say the glass is half empty, another group says it is half full. That has been the norm until another group said there is no point arguing about the condition of the glass because it is refillable. The stance of the half-full bottle tilts more to the negative. They believe things can only go wrong.
On the other hand, the half-full are more optimistic, believing things can get better. The third angle goes further than the second by assuring that, either way, the cup can be filled up again. Life is about perspective. It is how you view life that will benefit you. The Bible encourages us to be very positive in our approach to life, and that is where the last group comes in.
The last group goes even further than the third by declaring that we should not even be concerned about the content of the glass but should be appreciative of the fact that we have a glass at all. If you have a glass, there is no limit to your accomplishment. If you are alive, the rest is minor if you have God. It does not matter what you have or do not have now, as long as you are alive and have Christ, you are doing well, so give thanks. Learn to praise God for the gift of life!
Read the book of Psalms 100.
