Metaphorically speaking, human beings are like trees. Trees are expected to grow wherever they are planted. It is unthinkable to plant a tree somewhere and expect it to grow elsewhere. Yet, even though trees are planted on a spot, their roots sometimes spread far away from their original spots, and when they come into contact with outer forces like wind, birds, and animals, they move further.
In the same vein, we humans are expected to be of value wherever we are. We might not like where we are now, but if it is part of our life's path, we must endeavor to be of value there. We must not just 'exist' there but rather 'live'. Be proactive. Be useful. Be indispensable.
Become important for the survival of others. Make others' existence depend on you. Make others' lives easier. By doing this, you are creating new paths and setting yourself up for greater heights. Do not despise humble beginnings.
