The hopeless case that confronted Ezekiel in the valley of dry bones would make a lesser man lose his mind. Here were dusty, dry bones and the question of their living again. Ezekiel answered well by declaring that only God knows the end of such hopelessness. There are times in our lives when we simply come to the conclusion that only God can help us.
Everyone has been there before. One's "valley of dry bones" may be financial challenges, health, wayward children, straying spouses, abusive relationships, difficult co-workers or bosses, a stagnant existence, etc. Whatever it is, we just throw our hands up to God in surrender. Actually, that is the best thing to do. When you are at your wits' end, let God guide you.
Ezekiel did right by involving God in the hopeless situation, and God directed him on the way forward. When we hand over our hopeless situations to Him, a solution is never far away. The reason we struggle in seemingly hopeless circumstances is because we think we can fix them. Well, no one can. Only God can. This year, learn to hand over everything to Him. He cares!
