If you have ever been in such situation where you cried and cried out to God over an issue and the only answer you got was the echo of your voice, you will understanding this charge. Sometimes, it seems heaven is deliberately bent on not answering us and in times like that we wallow in myriads of negative emotions. Consider Job.
Does God choose silence in place of answering your questions? Oh yes, He does! What are you to do in such situation? Review your questions/prayers. Check if they align with His will. If they do not, re-strategize. If they do, be importunate, He might be sharpening your faith. In all, the silence of God, though not something to cherish has one certainty; He is there even if you don't feel Him.
