Well, if we are to believe the Holy Bible, there is no need for us to feel inadequate nor sad because each and everyone of us are still under "spiritual construction". And the way God has arranged it, we will keep working on our salvation with fear and trembling until our time here is up.
The Bible says that God will "perfect" all that concerns us. What that means is that even our feelings of inadequacies are tools for perfecting us in the hands of the Almighty. If you are still struggling as a child of God, do not lose hope. Release everything about you unto God and watch Him bring it to perfection.
