Loyalty is a virtue that is gradually wanning as people now seek their own good at the expense of others especially the ones that have once helped them. While you can try to be disloyal to people (which is bad enough), I will beseech you not to try it with God. God takes disloyalty seriously. If you put your hand to the plough with Him, there is no looking back.
Every relationship thrives when all parties give it their all. Never betray trusts and endeavour not to bite the fingers that fed you. When people show up for you, pray for the grace to pay back or better pay it forward. When God helps you, stick with Him and remain humble and grateful. At the end, anyways, Brutus committed suicide... what a price for disloyalty!
Side notes: Brutus was a good man who ran with the wrong crowd. The Bible warns that evil communication corrupts good manners. The conspirators deceived him into murdering Caesar and the regret especially when the cause they claim to be fighting for was a lost one, pushed him to a bitter end. If he had remained loyal to his mentor like Mark Anthony, he would not have met an unfortunate end.
