One constant word used by the Preacher in the Book of Ecclesiastes is VANITY. The Preacher baffled by the "worthlessness" of selfish existence warns us of its trappings. If one is not careful, it is always easy to get distracted and lose focus of the goal of existence.

BROUGHT NOTHING, TAKE NOTHING!
When we were sent into this world, we came with nothing, and when our time is up, we will leave with nothing (1 Tim. 6/7). Why, then, are we making it our life's mission to gather what is useless? The truth is that most of what we are hell-bent on acquiring are not useful to us, yet we spend about eigthy-five percent of our lifetime chasing them.
The most important thing in life, as eventually revealed by the Preacher is to Fear God and Obey His Commandments. Today, we are majoring in the minor while minoring in the major. We keep acting as if our possessions are our passport to eternity. The devil is so cunning; he will deceive you into wasting your life chasing shadows and, when it is too late, leave you alone. Be wise. All you need is in God. Do not waste your life chasing shadows.
