WAIT! Before you start pointing to the number of ships that you have seen sink, listen to this: the issue is not that ships don't sink; rather, it is that they sink not because of the water around them but because of the water in them. Can you spot the difference?
As long as the ship is on the water and there is no compromised area around her, the probability of sinking is nonexistent. Ships sink when the water inside them is greater than their withstanding capacity. Ships are not built to hold water; they are designed to float on it. What does that teach us?
When we internalize our challenges, they will weigh us down. Challenges, just like water, are everywhere around everyone. It is left for the individual to allow a breach whereby the challenges can rush in. As long as we learn how to live or live in Christ, there will be protective hedges built around us, warning the water to stay away. Living outside of His counsel is a direct invitation for the water to flood your life. Which is better?
Read Psalm 91 for strength.
