Our subject for today was a Russian novelist born under a strict atheistic communist regime. Despite not having much faith in God, God still sought him out. Andrei recalled feeling hopeless one day; the feeling of great despair overwhelmed him out of nowhere, and he felt lost.
While contemplating the futility of his life, a still small voice ministered to him from somewhere deep inside of him. The words he heard were: "Without God, life makes no sense." Startled by this revelation, he kept repeating it until he felt the peace of God.
God cares about every one of us. He cares greatly about our background, career, future, etc., even more than ourselves. If we would only give Him a little space in our lives, it is a decision we will always cherish. Turn that hopelessness and despair over to Him. Right at this moment, God is thinking about you because He cares!
