The world has need of God chasers these days. The dearth of God chasers in every generation is the principal reason why they fail. Any nation that has God's chasers always succeeds. God chasers are even recommended by the Almighty Himself. God told Ezekiel that He needs "watchmen." He needed these ones to stand in the gap. These watchers have the responsibility to chase God for the fulfillment of a purpose.
These days, believers are not interested in chasing God. We often feel like God is where He is, and whenever we need Him, we can always get Him. Well, here is a shocker! God is not that easy to see. He loves for us to pursue Him. In the Songs of Solomon, we could see the love of one for another that compelled the one to go into the streets to look for the other. There are lots of challenges along the way, but the pursuer is relentless. At the end, success was recorded.
There are many people in the Bible who pursued God fervently. David is one of them. In Psalm 42, he lamented not being able to fellowship with God. Commentators noted that David penned that Psalm because he could not go to the Temple while on the run from either Saul or Absalom. No wonder he became known as the best Israel king ever. When you chase God, you will eventually catch Him, and not only that, you will be reknown. Be a God chaser.
