When the children of Israel got to the Red Sea, they panicked. Their fear is genuine: Pharaoh and his chariots are raging behind them, and the Red Sea is roaring in front of them. To one side is the wilderness, and to the other side is the mountains. Fear made them freeze momentarily, and when they came to, they lashed out at Moses. Moses, too, not knowing what to do, called out to God, and what did God say? Move forward!
Move forward? There was no template to build on. When Elijah got to the Jordan River, it was easy for him to cross it because he had a reference. The Israelites had none, yet God said, "Move forward." Well, like Peter listening to Jesus, they moved, that is when Moses under the instruction of God had stretched his rod against the Red Sea, and wonders of wonders, the sea parted! Today, God is telling you to move forward.
In all your situations, do not stop. Keep moving. Do not fear; keep moving. Do not complain; keep moving. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep hoping. Even in the face of fear, like the apostle Paul, proceed. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. The solution to the problem is with you, just as the rod was with Moses. God cares about you more than you will ever know. Move forward in the name of Jesus.
