I understand that some of us went through a rough past. I understand that some of us were not as lucky growing up. I understand that some had to deal with a lot of unnecessary pressure, which successfully hindered their emotional growth. I understand that some of us grew up with a lot of childhood pain and trauma.
I have met some people whose childhood trauma is responsible for their seemingly failed lives. What they were forced to deal with in the past has unfortunately seeped into their adulthood, polluting and tainting it. Such people now find it difficult to accomplish their purposes because their minds always drive them back to the past.
If that is you, I thank God for you. I believe there is a reason for everything, and God has ways of bringing unexpected good out of situations where hope seems lost. No matter what happened in the past, God is already in your future, and He wants you to know that it is BRIGHT. Do not give in to the pains of yesterday; remember that Joseph was sold into slavery, yet with God he triumphed. With His help, find a way to leverage yesterday’s pain to your advantage.
