PRAYER EGGS

We know those places in the Bible where it says that God will "speedily" answer our cries. Unfortunately, such occurrences are few and far between. Most times, God places our request in the slow cooker and encourages us to wait for a sumptuous meal. This is a vexation to our souls.

You see, prayers are like eggs, and they must take the time to go through the process of incubation before hatching. Habakkuk the Prophet was a man who experienced this part of God. Several times he besought the Lord concerning some issues, and God kept telling him to wait.

The thing about prayer is that we only have control over doing our part; we do not have any control over the answer. When you make your request known to God, rest in the knowledge that something is happening around it, albeit not on your time frame. Have confidence that He will answer it, but in His time, and in the mean time, like Habakkuk, give Him praise!

Read Habakkuk 2 for strength.
