Why are we sharing this story? Because of that popular hymn NOW THANK WE ALL OUR GOD. It is a popular hymn that brings joy to our minds every time we hear or sing it but did you know that it was penned in a time of great distress? This is a word of encouragement for us too that in difficult times, God still deserves our praise.
We may not understand all, and we may be troubled and perplexed about the fiery darts hitting us but let us be guided in the knowledge that all glory must be to the Lord. We may be clueless about why those things are happening, but He is not. Let us trust Him to see us through. It is hard to be truly thankful but by His grace, we can lean on Him and find help in our time of need. Father, we thank You today!
Read Psalm 136 for motivation.
