It is often said that what you do not know cannot kill you. I will want to take a tactical approach to that belief. This is because of my dislike of the celebration of ignorance. Ignorance of things might have worked for people in a faraway time but I believe you owe it to yourself to be in the know. Ignorance is a disease that slowly destroys its host. If you don't know, you will be at the mercy of those who do.
You owe it to yourself to possess quality knowledge. Of course, there are some knowledge that may be beyond your expertise but nothing must stop you from befriending people with such knowledge. Try and be friends with people you can gain from. Do not stick to what you know; knowledge is infinite so no one has a monopoly on it but be careful, some people's idea of knowledge is warped.
Reading is one of the fastest ways of knowledge acquisition but many shy away from it. Lots of gold are hidden in books if will read. Reading develops your mind and also helps unleash the hidden treasures therein. The internet is also another mother-lode of good information. Do not focus on the funny skits alone, discover the other part of the internet where you can be adequately informed. What you don't know may kill you.
