THE PLACE OF RESPONSIBILITY

 There is one erroneous belief system that is prevalent among some believers, which is the refusal to take responsibility for their lives. If asked why they are not doing this or that, they will tell you it is no longer necessary for Christ or that someone else has done it for them. They do not feel the need to do anything, as they believe it is not necessary.

 

As ignorant as this thought is, we must feel sorry for them because we know where it will lead. With God's beloved, there will always be a place of responsibility. If you study the Bible very well, you will encounter such conditional statements as 'if you do this, I will do that'.  The rich young ruler knew he must do something to inherit eternity. He thus asked, What must I do...?'

 

Apostle Paul, after his conversion, asked, What do you want me to do?' If you are leaving what you ought to be doing for others, you are not ready. It is your responsibility to fast and pray, and it is God's responsibility to answer. If you are not willing to, don't expect Him to act. Remember, it is written; this is what you are commanded to do, and the GLORY of God will APPEAR! Get to work!
