As believers in Christ, our tears are not just water rolling down our faces when we are confronted with the challenges of life. You see, there are times when the burdens of life overwhelm even the mouth, and words fail. At times like these, the eyes speak. Yes, our eyes express what is too hard for the mouth to say.
Crying is not just a weak resort in helpless situations. There are times when our tears and groans will be the necessary means of escape from emotional collapse. With God, nothing is wasted; the Psalmist beseeched Him to bottle up his tears, but this is not about you.
When you see a fellow believer struggling under the yoke of life, please cry with them. When you notice their unspoken words wrapped in tears, do the right thing, cry with them. Sometimes, God strategically places us where we can be a shoulder for someone. Thus, when you see a brother or sister under duress, be compassionate and find it in your heart to share their pain.
