And He offered up prayers... with tears, to Him... Who cried, and to whom? Jesus Christ, our Lord, cried to our Heavenly Father. I humbly submit to you that crying before God is not a sign of spiritual weakness but rather a sure sign of strength rooted in desperate dependence on God. At that point in His life, Jesus had to shed tears in prayer, as divinely human as He was.
In life's attempt to press us down, it forces tears out of us. We cry when we are confronted with challenges beyond our capacity, and this is not something to be ashamed or embarrassed about if done appropriately. Beloved, if you want to cry, cry to God in prayer. Take your tears to Him in prayers. Stop crying to and before men! Men may see your tears and want to help but are not able, unfortunately.
But we have a God who is not only ABLE but WILLING to help us. There are some tears that only He can wipe away. Our tears do not embarrass Him. To Him, they are Liquid Prayers to be treasured! Yes, God treasures our tears (they connote our total trust and dependence on Him). And the beauty of it is, "And He was heard..." God heard the 'liquid prayers' of Jesus and sent help, just as He will hear and send you help as you cry to Him!
