This advice would have been unnecessary if we (believers) had adhered strictly to it. We know about prayer; we have heard about it, we have read about it, and we might even have prayed or be praying at specific points in our lives, but do we commit everything to God first? Is God the first on our list?
When we find ourselves in some situations, many options crowd our minds, and we always pick the one we think is the best, but most times we are proved wrong. The thing is, in the Order of Things, the first is always the best. God is the first being in the Bible, so He must be the first Person we take all our problems to.
The thought of possible options is something we must learn to do without. God should and must be our First and only Option so praying first is necessary. The 'wokeness' of our age may tell us otherwise, but this is an ancient wisdom that never fails. Why don't you give it a try today? Promise yourself to pray first before exploring any other options.
