The world teaches us not to believe a thing until we set our sights on it. Well, on a physical level, that is ideal, but when things become transcendental, they no longer become tenable. Jesus had an issue with Thomas. Thomas was an 'empiricist, declaring that until he had a tactile experience of Christ, he would not believe.
Jesus came purposefully to correct that mindset. When dealing with worldly things, you can rely on your senses, but with God, jettison the senses and rely on FAITH. Faith is a currency that can purchase anything in the heavenly Kingdom. Nothing more or less will acquire you anything.
Teachers of the world are running against time to 'force' us to rely on sense, but the Great Teacher is saying, No!" If you want to walk with me, you need to believe first. Even if you don't 'see' anything, keep faith alive. Abraham gave us a wonderful example. While not seeing what he wanted, he chose to believe. With Christ, you must first believe before you can see. Please do not worry if you have not seen it; just BELIEVE IN HIM!
Read John 20 for clarity.
