Jehoshaphat, the 4th king of the Kingdom of Judah, had a pressing matter on his hands: he was being attacked on all sides by three formidable enemies. Not knowing what to do, he set his heart to seeking God's help. Of a truth, in times like that, it would be understandable to give up to the enemies, but Jehoshaphat chose to trust God.
Is facing your challenges so tough that you are being tempted to give in? Are there just so many problems that you don't even know what to do? Well, it was like that for Jehoshaphat and his army until he sought God's help. There are times that we need to own up to our powerlessness. Jehoshaphat made it known to God that he was helpless. God cares enough for our helplessness, and He is always willing to help.
The kind of help he gave Jehoshaphat and his army was so unique that it is hard to believe. At the end, they came to the Valley of Berachah. The Valley of Berachah (Berachah meaning "blessings") is where you end up when you allow God to help you. When you hand over your problems to God, He has the track record of turning them into blessings!
