Do you know that one of the - if not the principal reasons why God blesses us is that we can be the light that points to Him. Oh yes! When God blesses us, it is not because He wants to satisfy us alone. As salt and light, He expects us to use these blessings to attract people to Him.
God chose the Israelites as His inheritance so they could be a light to the gentiles. They succeeded, because through them, the world now has the Light- Jesus Christ. God's blessings are not just for you to be selfish. He blessed Abraham so he could be a blessing. When Lazarus was restored to life, people came to Jesus because of that testimony.
Are the testimonies of your life attracting people to Christ, or are they chasing people away from Him? God is the most selfless Father we can ever have, and as His children, He wants us to model Him in selflessness. There is nothing to be achieved through self-centeredness. When you learn to share with others what God has blessed you with, you are setting yourself up for more!
