Another poignant part of that film was that played by the character Scar. He is the younger brother of the king and the next in line to the throne until the king had a child and the table turned. Unable to accept the fact that he would never be king, he started plotting evil. To an extent, he succeeded, but he eventually paid the ultimate price. Trying to lead by force speaks volumes.
We can see the politics of things playing out in our environment. We see people trying to force themselves upon the masses. They engage in all sorts of conspiracies to gain power, not because they have anything to offer but to fulfill their evil lust. Such people, the Bible warns, will have no peace. All leaders must be elected by God, and when leaders by all means force themselves on others, it is because they are wicked.
The end of such "leaders" is destruction. But before they go, they will ensure that they destroy things, and this is where we must stand up and "war." Our fight is not physical but spiritual. For evil rulers not to impose affliction upon us, we must stand up and pray. Evil rulers care for no one but themselves because they are too self-centered to care for others. We may be physically disadvantaged, but spiritually we hold all the cards.
