Life is essentially about purpose, and purpose is what you and I have been "called" to do. Our purpose or calling is as different as our faces. Everyone one of us has a special assignment designated for us by the Almighty, the fulfillment of which makes life easier for us and everyone else. This means that if I function in the capacity in which God has called me, everything will be alright.
Unfortunately, many in life today do not understand this. They journey through life thinking they can do anything they like and get away with it; that is a wrong thought pattern. If God does not call you to do something and you work very hard at it, you will not succeed in life. Everyone of us must find out what God has called him or her to do and invest all of ourselves in doing it.
When this is done, not only will you be pleasing God, but you will also be at peace with your soul. God specifically called Jeremiah to be a prophet. Imagine if he had spent his life trying to be the king. God called David to be a king. Imagine if he had been trying to be something else. Mary was called to birth Christ, etc. It is in walking in the call of God for your life that you enjoy God. What has He called you to do? Is that what you are doing?
