There are times, in fact, most of the time, when our requests to God meet with a resounding "no." In those moments, we have few options, and foremost among them is vexation. Yes, we become livid because we are not getting our way. We have heard it said that God says no because what we are asking is against His will. We have been told that what we are asking would hurt us, and to avoid that, God says no.
Well, there are times when God's no has nothing to do with us. God is the Creator of the universe, and He makes decisions even before they are needed. Habakkuk was one man who was confronted with God's no, albeit not for himself. He knew the Israelites were working against God's will, and he prayed that God would do something and initially, the response was a big no.
Concerning the happenings in our world and country, many are on their knees, praying that God would do something. The answer is that the evil ones seem to be prospering more. Well, at times like these, the most important thing is to give God the glory for everything. Even if the situation does not change, we know who is in charge. The no of God may not make sense to us, but in the end, it will.
