You must have heard it said, "Times without number, salvation is free." While I agree with that statement, I would still like to add that it may be free, but it is not cheap. It came at a heavy price. A price that God, through Christ, paid and has now given us the mandate of continuation. Yes, we inherit the baton of sharing this great news the day we surrender our lives to Christ.
It is written that while we were sinners, Christ died for us. Now that we are saved, we have the onus to arise for the salvation of others, and that is where you get to pay it forward. The salvation you are now enjoying costs, someone. It costs them prayers, time, and other resources. Now, you have the responsibility of doing the same for someone else.
Christ paid, so salvation is free, but it must cost you something. Anything that costs nothing is not worthwhile, said David. Are you ready to pray someone into the Kingdom? Are you ready to go out into the world to preach the Good News? Are you prepared to sacrifice so someone will not end up in hell? Now you see, it is not cheap. We have been called into the ministry of reconciliation. Whether we want to or not, it is a must. Go win souls!
